Poorav Rohatgi

Poorav helps clients navigate difficult situations involving the government. He has worked on internal investigations, grand jury subpoenas, civil investigatory demands, and federal criminal trials that reached successful resolutions for clients in industries including aviation, automobile, oil & gas, health care, mining, chemicals, sports, food services, retail, clothing, construction, data, and finance.

Once a commercial civil litigator, Poorav specializes in parallel proceedings involving criminal accusations and complex civil allegations arising in disputes between private parties and in proceedings against the DOJ or SEC. He joined Gerger Hennessy & Martin after clerking two years for the U.S. District Court in Houston.  Before his judicial clerkship, Poorav began his career at Haynes & Boone LLP working in criminal and civil litigation.

Poorav is active in the community. He volunteers his time to help veterans transition to civilian employment through Hire Heroes USA, remains connected as an alum of Duke University and Texas Law, and stays engaged with minority bars including the South Asian Bar Association and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Poorav is fluent in Hindi.
